Distributed Water Recycling
Summary
In contrast to more centralized recycled water systems, distributed treatment is designed to work at the scale of a large high rise apartment building, a cluster of residential homes, or a commercial or industrial park - reusing the treated effluent onsite or at adjacent properties to offset potable water use. The treated water can be used for a variety of non-potable uses, including toilet flushing, irrigation, and heating and cooling systems.
