Permeable Pavement
Summary
Permeable pavements are non-traditional pavement surfaces that allow stormwater runoff to filter through voids in the surface into a stone reservoir below where this water can either be temporarily retained to delay entry into the storm drain system or allowed to infiltrate and replenish ground water. Some permeable pavement surfaces include pervious concrete, porous asphalt and interlocking pavers.
