Green Infrastructure

Summary

Green infrastructure uses vegetation, soils, and natural processes to manage water. When installed, green infrastructure can help retain stormwater onsite during storm events when storm drains are overtaxed. The storage of this stormwater will delay entry of storm flows into the storm drain system and in so doing this can reduce pollution and delay or reduce localized flooding.
